What Surelee keeps, where it keeps it, and how to delete it.

Local-first by default

Your routines, tasks, completion history, and proof photos and videos remain on your device unless you sign in and enable cloud sync. Limited technical, account, subscription, or support information may be processed as described below. You can use the core app without an account or subscription. Your app settings — your theme, the name you choose, and whether smart reminders are on — always stay on your device. The reminder times on your routines and tasks are part of them, so they sync only when cloud sync is on. A photo you choose as a custom theme background stays on your device; Surelee never uploads or syncs it.

What syncs to the cloud

When you sign in and cloud sync is on, Surelee stores your account details — an account identifier, your email address, and how you signed in (Apple, Google, or an email link) — together with the household content you create: routines, tasks, completion history, and proof photos and videos. Proof photos and videos go up only while cloud sync is on, and the camera says when they will. This content travels over encrypted connections and is stored in private, access-controlled storage associated with your account. It is not yet end-to-end encrypted: it is protected by access controls rather than by keys only your devices hold, and the people who run Surelee access it only to operate the service, when you ask for help, or when the law requires it.

Other information we process

Subscription providers process purchase status and store transaction identifiers; Surelee never receives your payment-card details. When something goes wrong, the app records the error with a short technical description — error messages, record identifiers, and the app version, never your photos or your name — and in released versions of the app these reports are sent to our error-monitoring provider. If you send feedback, we receive your message, an email address only if you choose to include one so we can reply, and, only if you choose, the list of recent problems shown on the Diagnostics screen.

How information is used

Information is used to run the app, sync your household across your devices, restore purchases, prevent unauthorized access, answer support requests, and keep the app reliable. We never sell your personal information or your proof photos and videos, and we do not use household content for advertising.

Service providers

Surelee relies on Apple and Google for app distribution, payments, and — if you choose them — sign-in; Supabase for accounts, the database, and private photo and video storage; Resend to deliver sign-in emails; RevenueCat to verify subscriptions; and Sentry for error reports and the feedback you send us. Each processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments. We require service providers that process personal information on our behalf to protect it consistently with applicable privacy and security requirements.

Deleting your data

Delete your account in the app, under Settings and also under Privacy & data. When you delete your account, your account and synced data are removed from our active systems. Some information may remain temporarily in service-provider backups, security logs, or records required for legal or technical purposes, as described below. The data on your device stays until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled through the store where they were purchased. You can also ask us by email to delete your data.

How long data is kept

Data on your device stays until you delete it or remove the app. Cloud data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and synced data are removed from our active systems. Some information may remain temporarily in service-provider backups, security logs, or records required for legal or technical purposes and will be deleted according to applicable retention schedules. Error reports and feedback are deleted automatically after no more than 90 days. Purchase records are kept by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat as their own policies and the law require. Signing out stops access on that device but does not delete cloud data.

Security

Surelee uses encrypted connections, private storage, and access policies to protect synced data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Surelee is not directed to children under 13, and creating an account requires being at least 13. Household organizers are responsible for how they use the app with family members.

Changes to this policy
